About Dave

Dave McDermott - Irish Landscape Painter and Ceramicist.

Dave McDermott was born and grew up on the northside of Dublin in Ireland. He settled in Donegal in 2017 and spent a number of years teaching art & ceramics. David is an award winning painter and sculptor and his paintings form part of the Irish State Art Collection. In 2023 he won the Derek Hill Foundation award for painting. Inspired by the Irish landscape Dave works with a combination of acrylic, collage and printing to create textured colourful abstracted landscapes.
